Louis Dupree war ein anerkannter US Anthropologe, Archäologe und Experte Afghanischer Kultur und Geschichte. Da gibt es schon mal Pluspunkte für Herrn Mahringer. Leider ist das Buch aber aus dem Jahr 1973 und daher aus dem vorigen Jahrhundert und nicht mehr so gut geeignet die jetzige Situation vor Ort festzustellen.
